Ruben Islas

Founding Partner | CEO

Ruben Islas is a founding partner and the Chief Executive Officer of Logan Capital Advisors (LCA). Ruben has been involved in the affordable housing industry since 1994, and is an expert in tax exempt bond financing and low income housing tax credits. Ruben is responsible for the development of over 3,400 low-income apartment homes throughout California, Colorado, and New Mexico.

Ruben grew up in the Logan Heights neighborhood of San Diego, and these roots serve as impetus for him and his goals for LCA to provide quality safe housing for all of our residents. Ruben attended UC San Diego, Queens College, and St. John’s University. Ruben has a passion for theatre arts, philanthropy, soccer, and celebrating his Mexican heritage.

Jules Arthur

Founding Partner | COO

Jules Arthur is a founding partner and Chief Operating Officer of Logan Capital Advisors (LCA). Jules has worked in the multifamily industry for the past 25 years, initially as a successful investment broker, and with the most recent 17 years focused on affordable housing with his partner Ruben Islas.

Jules is from Bury St. Edmunds, England. He graduated from City of Nottingham University and was a Chartered Surveyor, before moving to the United States in 1994. Jules’ interests include rugby, live music, world travel, and addictive word games.

Paul Runkle

Partner | Acquisitions

Paul Runkle is a partner and leads acquisitions for both affordable and conventional properties, along with asset management of Logan Capital Advisors’ (LCA) conventional portfolio. Paul joined LCA in January 2018.

Paul attended Lehigh University and after a five-year period as an aerospace engineer switched career paths to multifamily investment sales in 1987, most recently with CBRE. Over his 30-year career Paul handled the sale of over 16,000 apartment units with a value exceeding $2.8 billion. He is a smooth jazz enthusiast and World Futbol fan, who enjoys wine travel with his wife. Regarding LCA, Paul says, “At Logan Capital Advisors I work with some of my best friends, who are some of the finest people I know. We share a common goal of working as a team in order to provide safe quality housing to our residents.”

Rebecca Hyatt

Senior Asset Manager

Rebecca Hyatt is a Senior Asset Manager who coordinates all aspects of due diligence and closing for Logan Capital Advisors’ (LCA) resyndications and new acquisitions. Rebecca has worked at LCA since 2004.

A graduate of Gettysburg College and self-described task-oriented individual, Rebecca thrives on keeping order during what can be chaotic processes. Regarding LCA, Rebecca says, “The people I work with and the sense of family that exists within this tight-knit company, as well as the wide variety of responsibilities, keeps things enjoyable and interesting.”

Peter Lopez-Hodoyan

Senior Asset Manager

Peter Lopez-Hodoyan is a senior asset manager who focuses on Logan Capital Advisors’ (LCA) affordable properties both pre and post acquisition. He has been involved with lenders, HUD, and tax credit investors in over 20 affordable housing transactions. Peter joined LCA in 2004.

Peter graduated from San Diego State University and prior to LCA worked in the consumer electronics industry. He is an avid music lover and has attended music festivals all over the country. Regarding LCA, Peter says, “I love that our leadership understands the importance of a work/life balance for our employees. We are a multihousing company that wants to improve the lives of everyone we touch.”

Guy Preston

Asset Manager

Guy Preston provides asset management across the Logan Capital Advisors (LCA) portfolio with a focus on finding savings and efficiencies with utilities and other contracted services. Guy has worked at LCA since 2011.

A native of New Zealand, who loves anything that gets a heart pumping, Guy has both experienced and worked across the spectrum of outdoor adventure sports. Regarding LCA, Guy says, “I enjoy being part of a dynamic family run business, which provides all types of people with a safe place to call home.” 

Crystal Young

Asset Manager

Crystal Young is an Asset Manager, who focuses on Logan Capital Advisors’ (LCA) expanding conventional portfolio. Crystal has worked in the multifamily field for almost 20-years with Hendricks & Partners (now Berkadia) and most recently CBRE. She joined LCA in January 2018.

A graduate of Concordia University, Crystal describes herself as an athlete without a sport, having hiked all of California’s tallest mountains. Volunteerism is an important part of Crystal’s world. She is President of her local Rotary Club and has attended the last five Rotary International Conferences. Regarding LCA, Crystal says, “Logan Capital Advisors is filled with amazing individuals all working to provide quality housing to our rainbow of residents.”

Lani Yee

Controller

Lani Yee is Controller for Logan Capital Advisors (LCA) and Logan Property Management (LPM). She joined LCA in 2004 after working three years at Novogradac & Company. Lani has been involved in all of the properties LCA and LPM have developed, managed, or acquired from the beginning.

Lani graduated from UC Santa Barbara and is a CPA. She is a devoted Golden State Warriors’ fan and self-described Funtie (Fun Auntie). According to Lani, “I have enjoyed being part of Logan Capital Advisors’ growth over the past 15 years, and working with a consistent core of great people has fostered a family atmosphere within our company.”

Molly O'Dell

Accounting | Tax Credit Special Projects

Molly O’Dell focuses on Logan Capital Advisors’ (LCA) affordable portfolio, providing accounting and tax credit expertise. Molly joined LCA in 2017 after an almost 19-year career with Novogradac & Company, rising to the level of Partner.

A graduate of UCLA, Molly and her husband moved their family to Lake Tahoe in 2017 to support her two young daughters on the Northstar Alpine Race Ski Team. Regarding LCA, Molly says “I love being on the development side after so many years working in public accounting. It is rewarding to play an active part in developing affordable housing. I also love that many of us work remotely and have full lives, but we are all engaged on the tasks we need to accomplish, and we work well together to reach our goals as a team.”

Jeremy Turner

President

Jeremy Turner is President of Phase 3 Construction, which handles all phases of the construction, evaluation, estimation, and design for Logan Capital Advisors (LCA). Jeremy is a licensed contractor and has worked with LCA since 2003.

A graduate of St. John’s University, Jeremy’s talents and interests know few bounds. He is a musician, tennis player, enjoys decorative metal work, wine, and travel. Regarding LCA and Phase 3, Jeremy says, “I enjoy making homes safer, more comfortable, and more beautiful for our residents. We are a force for good!”

Carin Dietz

Vice President | CFO

Carin Dietz is Vice President and CFO of Phase 3 Construction. She has been involved in affordable multihousing since 1998 and has worked on over 50 affordable multifamily projects to date. Carin worked on the general contracting side as a senior project manager overseeing Logan Capital Advisors (LCA) projects over the past 15 years, and she joined Phase 3 Construction in 2017.

Carin attended Central Washington University. She is an avid ultra-runner and has completed over twenty 50k races. Regarding LCA and Phase 3, Carin says, “I have worked with Logan Capital Advisors and Logan Property Management for much of the last 20 years, and I have always appreciated their integrity, responsiveness, and attention to detail in everything they do.”

Martha Enriquez

President | CEO

Martha Enriquez is President and CEO of Logan Property Management, Inc. (LPM). Martha has 20-years experience in management, with a background in asset management and human resources. Before founding LPM, Martha worked as an asset manager for an affordable housing developer.

Martha has completed courses in LIHTC compliance, and she has dealt extensively with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee. All of this assures that LPM affordable properties are in compliance at all times with both agencies’ rigorous requirements.

Bethany Spooner

Human Resources

Bethany Spooner is the Director of Human Resources for Logan Property Management (LPM). She is responsible for recruitment, staffing, employee training and development, and the implementation of safety programs. Bethany joined LPM in 2005 .

Bethany graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Regarding LPM and Logan Capital Advisors, Bethany says “I enjoy the family-like atmosphere within our company, which is combined with an entrepreneurial drive, which makes my work both fun and interesting.”

Ana Huezo

Accounting

Ana Huezo works in accounting on both affordable and conventional properties. Ana came to Logan Capital Advisors (LCA) after ten years with Nordstrom and two years with Starbucks, joining LCA in 2006.

Ana has worked extensively in financial management throughout her career. She considers herself a sports junkie and foodie, and she holds the distinction of being a Certified Chef. Regarding LCA, Ana says, “Seeing from where it all began to where we are now, Logan Capital Advisors is the engine that could.”
